I planned a trip to Dubai with my family a few years back. During our trip we booked a two night stay in the most famous and luxury resort in Dubai- Atlantis. It is located at the apex of the Palm Jumeirah. The palm Jumeirah is an artificial archipelago Island given a shape of a palm tree with a crescent shaped water barrier. The resort consists of more than 1500 rooms. Attached to it is the world's renowned Aquaventure water park and the lost chambers aquarium. On the way to our resort we witnessed the chain of villas with the similar architecture. One could easily say that those were the homes to some of the riches.

After arriving to Atlantis, we found that there were a large number of tourists visiting and the place was quite crowded. The reception was quite magnificent and beautifully designed. There were different ways to the water park, aquarium, swimming pool, gaming zone, and the rooms from the reception. The resort is build on such a wide scale that one would require 10-15 minutes to understand the map and directions.

We first went to the Aqua venture water park. The park has so many slides suitable for all. We had a great time in water park enjoying on the different slides, water waves, and grooving to the music. There were a number food stalls to fulfill your food cravings in between the rides. After spending like four hours there, we headed back to our room. The experience was full of fun and energy.

The size of the room was big enough to accommodate three to four people and the view from the room was mesmerizing. Our room was sea facing. The interiors gave a very comfort feeling. After relaxing for a bit and having lunch, we went for the aquarium. The Aquarium was nicely built within the resort giving the guests a truly luxury experience. We walked through the aquarium caves observing numerous variety of fishes, sharks, stingrays, and other water animals. We were completely awestruck by the marine life showcased by the resort.


There were many restaurants and bars so that one could choose according to their requirement. We opted for the restaurant Kaleidoscope as it matched our requirement completely. There were a huge variety of exotic dishes offered by the restaurant including Asian, Thai, Continental etc. The flavors were amazing. We also went for the Palm Jumeirah monorail ride which gave us the view of the palm from above.

In the noon, we would dive into the swimming pool and relax for sometime. At night, the resort was so beautifully lighted that we were truly fascinated by its extravagance. we would go for a walk in the resort and outside to enjoy the ambiance and the lighting. In the morning, we would go for a walk on the beach.

In just two days of our stay in Atlantis, we got to experience so many things. We were truly amazed by the beauty and lavishness of that place.

When we were in the Wonderland - NEW ZEALAND

  If you want to experience the truly natural and untouched beauty of the world then New Zealand should be on the top your list.
