MALDIVES- MY EXPERIENCE OF PARADISE

Centara Ras Fushi Resort & Spa Maldives

Maldives is a place I always dreamed of going to. It has always been on the top of my dream destinations. The experience of Maldives is closest to my heart because that place made me feel what I actually wanted to feel when on an Island- Inner Peace, Relaxation, a soothing experience, sound of the ocean, and calmness of the beach.

My husband and I planned this trip to Maldives to have our own time and get some break from our daily routine. I was very excited for the trip to begin. We booked Centara ras fushi resorts and spa, North Male' Atoll, Maldives. It is a beautiful resort around 20 minutes away from Velena International airport if you go by speed boat. We booked a deluxe over water villa with private jacuzzi and the mind-blowing view to the open ocean.

As we landed at the Velana airport in Male, we headed towards our resort through speed boat. There were two ways to reach the resort- helicopter and speed boat. There was no one in the speed boat except the driver, an assistant and we two. The vibe was completely different and I was just so happy that "Yes! we are finally here." While on the speed boat we enjoyed the view of the ocean around us, sound of the breeze, water splashing across the boat and the presence of each other on that boat. We were living the moment, that present moment. There were no tensions, no hustle bustle, just we two enjoying our ride to the resort in the blue lagoons.

We reached the resort and were welcomed by the hotel staff. The one thing about the good resorts in Maldives is that they welcome their guests with a smiling face and a very kind gesture. The Centara ras fushi resort is build on a small island with many amenities like beaches, swimming pools, gaming rooms, various restaurants, spa, waiting and relaxation room, bars, etc. There was a map of the island in front of the reception to help direct the guests towards their point of interest. It is a beautiful cozy island which made us feel very comfortable and excited. We just wanted to dive into the pool and relax after our flight.

So, we went to our Water Villa from reception in the resort cart just from the middle of the island having a good look of the greenery, sand and the wooden architectures. We relaxed in the room for some time and relished the view of the ocean. Since the room was on the waters, it was shaking mildly but constantly. The sound of the water splashing made it a very unique experience for us. To reach the pool from our room, it was a long walk on the wooden bridge of around 15 minutes and this was the best part of the location of our room on the island. As we had to go to the restaurant or pool or bar, we could see the diversity of fishes and other water animals in the water. The wild lizard and baby sharks were very common there.

There were a few number of tourists including us not making it a crowded place. Every one could rejoice to the Maldivian culture and were free to do whichever activity they wanted to do. The climate on the island was mostly sunny but rainy around 4-5 p.m. My husband and I, we both would go for the long walks on beach, did water activities like boating, and chill in the pool while having drinks. We would feed fishes from the reef and relax in the outdoor spa bath tub. It was such a pleasant vibe throughout. We were living some of the best moments of our life with each other.

On one of the days, we had a cruise (Dhoni cruise) planned to see dolphins. The Dolphin point was around 1 hour ride from our resort. We cruised along the crystal clear waters of the Maldives, watching a spectacular sunset, while sipping a drink, and finally saw the dolphins jumping and playing around the bow of the boat. On the other day, we went for the semi submarine. It was like diving in the water without even getting wet. We enjoyed the spectacular views of the underwater ecosystem and explored the secrets of marine life hidden beneath the blue lagoons.

The nightlife on the island is full of calmness and the vibe makes you feel serene. The resort was lighted beautifully and the live music was playing at the restaurants and bars. There were four types of restaurants on the island- Italian, Thai, Arabian, and Maldivian and two separate bars. We tried three restaurants but not the Arabian one as it did not have any vegetarian dish in its menu. All the three restaurants were great. As we dined on the beach side while the live music was playing, it was a delightful date. We felt so fascinated by the vibe and the ambiance there. After dinner, we would go to the bar and just sit and relax there listening to the sounds of the water.

Our trip to Maldives was full of serenity and calmness. It relieved us from all kind of stress and provided with the peace of mind. The marvelous and endless ocean, the exquisite greenery on the island, the pleasing weather, the elegant architecture of the resort, and the fine services of the resort made it a very soothing and unforgettable experience for us.

I would love to relive this experience of mine all over again.
